WHAT WE OFFER IN SUMMER

Our Royal Oak Club offers summer drop-in programs from 12-4pm and optional morning camps from 8:30-11:30am

Registration for summer opens on April 3rd. On this page, you can find our summer informational flyers that outline the weekly camps. These camp slots fill fast, so we recommend visiting the registration link as close to April 3rd as you can to secure your spots. Download our full five-page flyer by clicking here.

In order to be ready for April 3, we strongly recommend making sure you have an updated 2026 membership for your child. Metro Detroit Youth Clubs memberships run on a calendar year structure. Therefore, if you signed up prior to 2026, please fill out an updated application for your child to remain an active member until December 31, 2026. Memberships can be filled out easily by visiting miclubs.org/membership. We look forward to seeing you on June 8 for another great summer season!

Drop-in hours of 12-4pm included with membership

If your child has a 2026 membership, the hours of 12-4pm are included with your membership. Morning camps can be added for a small additional fee.

FUN, SAFE & INCLUSIVE PROGRAM MIX

Summer camps run for 10 weeks starting June 8! The camps cost $50/week and run from 8:30-11:30am. Registration opens April 3 at 12:00 PM!

You can find out more information about the specific camps that will be offered this year here. You can also see the age ranges for the specific camps in the image on this page. We will offer both sports and enrichment camps, so parents can select the camps most appropriate for their children.

A brief description for each camp is provided below, and more detailed information can be found by downloading our five-page summer pdf flyer by clicking here. Weeks 2, 4, and 8 are prorated due to the camp weeks containing 4 days of programming.

All Sports Camp

Campers will focus on having fun, learning the rules and basic fundamentals of basketball, soccer, kickball, whiffle ball, flag football, gaga ball and more! Ages 6-12.

Baseball Camp

Campers will focus on the fundamentals of baseball, with focus on hitting, pitching, and fielding skills to improve their technique and teamwork.

Basketball Camps

A focus on the fundamentals of basketball, working on dribbling, passing, and shooting. Intermediate week for ages 10-12 & Junior week for ages 6-9.

Color Lab

Throughout the week, campers will explore a different paint project each day, with time for other exciting crafts and for campers to explore their favorite art styles.

Cooking Camp

Campers will learn basic cooking and baking skills and even get to taste their creations every day! Intermediate week for ages 10-12 and Junior week for ages 6-9.

Craft & Create

Campers will work with a variety of materials on a wide range of activities including tie dye, weaving, jewelry-making, collages, and more arts and crafts projects.

Games Room Olympics

Campers will engage in friendly competition to earn points for their team, playing games like foosball and pool, board games, and exciting challenges!

Lacrosse Camps

In this introductory level camp players will learn throwing, catching, scooping, and cradling skills through a variety of exercises and drills. Ages 6 to 12.

LEGO Camp

Campers will spend the week designing amazing LEGO creations, tackling fun building challenges, and working together on exciting team projects that spark imagination.

Minds In Motion

Start the day on the right foot! Throughout the week, campers will learn about and engage in mindfulness through group games, art & design, and movement.

Mixed Media Art

Get ready for a week of exciting drawing, painting, and mixed media projects that ends with an art show! Intermediate week for ages 10-12 and Junior week for ages 6-9.

Power Play

Throughout the week, campers will participate in competitive games and challenges, including video game tournaments, outdoor games, games room challenges, and more.

Science Camps

Grab your goggles, put on your lab coat, and get ready for a fun-filled week of science experiments exploring reactions, STEM challenges, lab activities, and more.

Soccer Camps

Campers will learn dribbling, shooting, juggling, and both offensive & defensive tactics. Intermediate Week for ages 10-12 & Juniors Week for ages 6-9.

Volleyball Camp

Campers will work on building their skills and fundamental understanding of the game each day. This camp is intended for girls in grades 3-8.
